About the competition

Write a story involving Progressive Pantheons, and a chain.
$3,000 grand prize

Seek guidance in the forest glade, the hum of the server room, or the silence between stars. Do you hear an answer? Some voices weaken while others gain power with the passing of an age, for not even a God can withstand the progression of time. How will you adapt?

Divinity evolves—much like us. As the world grows smaller and our voices louder, how will our beliefs change? As cultures rise and fall, so do those they worship. Will they war, or merge into intricate tapestries of faith and futurism? Ancient spirituality and AI overlords. Augmented humans interfacing with their deities. Where once Gods dined in hallowed halls, now they come coded and virtual. Sacred spaces amid silicone shrines. Prayers whispered to the wind or sent through the cloud. Blockchain battlegrounds for digital devotion. The question: unite in holy harmony or fracture and fade? Decide quickly, before we reach the stars and test our beliefs against the universe. Will we become a guiding light, or a cautionary tale?

This contest invites you to explore Progressive Pantheons, whatever that means to you. Fantasy, contemporary, romance, crime. All genres are welcome.

Submissions close September 30th at 11:59 pm EST. Contest is only open to new writers.
