About the competition
FFF Competition Nineteen will stay open for submissions until 10 pm Saturday 23rd December 2023
Submit a flash fiction piece of between 100 and 300 words, on any theme.
1 Winner will receive £150.00 and publication
2 Highly Commended will receive £30.00 and publication
3 Shortlisted will receive £20.00 and publication

Competition guideline
- Entries/stories will be anonymised once they have gone through the administration process, then they will be read by members of the FFF editorial team, then the long list of 15 anonymised entries will be sent to the judge, who will then prepare a shortlist of 5 stories – in the following categories – 2 x Shortlisted, 2 x Highly Commended and One Winner.
- The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Entrants must be 16 years or over.
- Entries must be in English.
- There is no limit to the number of entries an entrant may make but multiple entries must be submitted separately.
- The competition is open to writers worldwide but stories must be written in English. Entry is open to everyone; locally, nationally and internationally.
- An entry can only be made by the work’s individual author. Entries must be fiction but can be on any subject, and written in any style or form.
- New and/or previously unpublished stories only please.
