About the competition
Tofu Ink Arts Press, a not for profit celebratory venture, is the brainchild of poet Brian L. Jacobs. Tofu Ink aims at publishing poems and other arts of un humdrum’d inclusive rhizomatic errant possibilities. We support work of established and emerging poets and artists. We strive for tri annual issues. We are looking for polished art and poetics that are absorbed in possibilities. We are committed to amplifying voices of the under-represented and marginalized. Art makes you think about thinking…ABSORB POSSIBILITIES!
Competition guidelines
- All 2023 submissions must be made via our Submittable page. We are seeking 1-3 polished poems or art of any style of less than 5 pages (12 font Times New Roman, single spaced).
- Your name must appear on the work. Include a title page with list of work titles. Please provide a brief bio in third person.
- Please allow about one to two months for a response. We are usually pretty quick in response. All work must be contained in one document.
- Each new poem or art piece should start on a new page. Due to our large amount of submissions, we cannot respond or provide feedback to everyone.
- We do our best to be prompt. We acquire first North American serial rights upon acceptance. This includes the right to publish your material on our website as well as a possible future print edition, with permission. The author retains all rights of their work of course.
- Art work should be JPEG.
