About the competition
The Trio International Poetry Competition is organised by Jon Sait, winner of the 2004 National Poetry Competition and founder of Trio Uganda. Judged by Mike Jenkins, the competition is a call to poets to put their words to work in support of literacy and education in Uganda.
Prize money totals £1,500 and all entered poems will be considered for publication in Red Poets.
Competition guidelines
- All poems – winning or otherwise – will be considered for publication in the next edition of Red Poets
- Entry fee £5 for the first poem £8 for two poems £10 for three poems
- Closing date 30th September 2023
