About the competition
Submit complete short fiction, on any subject, up to 300 words.
Tania Hershman, flash fiction and short story writier, editor, poet and novelist, will be judging this year’s competition. The winning flash fiction writer will receive £500, with three finalists receive £50 each. The winner and finalists will be published in Issue 100 of Mslexia; with eight additional finalists, along with the four winners, appearing in our ebook anthology Best Women’s Fiction 2023.

Competition guidelines
Add the entry fee to your basket and proceed through the checkout (you will be asked to set up, or sign in to your Mslexia account during the process). Once the order is completed you’ll be taken to a ‘Submit’ page where the entry form is located. You can submit at a later date by logging into your Mslexia online account and going to the ‘competitions’ tab.
