FREE | Writing Wood Words: Creative Writing Workshop with Electra Rhodes
November 27, 2021 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am EST

About this event
Come and write about the things that inspire you in nature – whether it’s trees, the urban or rural landscape, or your relationship to either. No previous writing experience is necessary.
Practical and interactive sessions. You don’t need to have access to the outdoors to be able to participate.
Although there will be a focus on trees, we’ll explore other aspects of the natural world too. Bring a willingness to try to get some words down about the world around you. There will be a chance to share your work if you want to and the group will be small to enable lots of participation.
Electra Rhodes is an archaeologist who lives in Wiltshire. Her prose and poetry have been widely anthologized, have won or placed in more than fifty competitions, and have been nominated this year for both the BIFFY50 and the Best Of The Net. She writes a quarterly column on rural issues for Spelt magazine and reads for Twin Pies Literary Journal.

Please note:
The Valley of Writers team scours the web looking for the most inspiring, elevating, and accessible events that we can share as a service to our readers.
The big idea is that in a virtual arena, more people can participate. Geographical boundaries matter less.
The events we list are virtual and can be attended by writers from wherever they are in the world.
Unless otherwise stated, we are not affiliated with and do not benefit financially from the events we post. Listing is not an endorsement of the content, opinions, or products promoted by the event organizers we feature here.
Please verify all dates, times and other event details as these are subject to change and are beyond our control.
What qualifies an event as ‘lit’? Any event that we think would teach writers of fiction, memoir, and poetry useful skills, inspire them to produce great work, remind them of the power of this work we do and build stronger, mutually beneficial ties between writers and other creatives.
