All across America this week, children, their parents and grand parents have been celebrating what would have been the 116th birthday of Dr. Seuss, the Springfield MA native whose books have been read by millions of children around the world. Springfield

Hundreds came out to Springfield Museums to honor Dr Seuss on March 7th. Families, spanning three generations who have all been touched by Dr Seuss’s books, visited the Dr Seuss Museum and the Dr Seuss National Sculpture Garden. – 22 NEWS

 

New York

Sacramento

Fairytale Town in Land Park threw a big birthday party Sunday, March 1st for the author’s birthday. The park had Dr. Seuss-themed crafts and activities, and even hosted a reading of some of his books at the Mother Goose Stage. – KCRA

 

Florida

“You have brains in your head, you have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.” Barnes & Noble in Coral Gables, FL advertised this Dr. Seuss celebration online.

On TV

Various news stations ran special clips about the celebration.
ABC7 aired one featuring fun facts about Dr. Seuss and published it on their website.
