About the competition
This is Twist in the Tale’s unique 150 word micro contest. Writers have 24 hours to complete their story. If you register early, you get to have a say in the genre and vote for one of the four available (shown after registering). Find out the winning genre, and its twisted subgenres, when the contest starts.

Competition guideline
- Welcome to the Twist in the Tale: 150 Word Twisted Micro! This contest begins on Sat Aug 17 2024 and will accept submissions until Sun Aug 18 2024.
- Upon entering, you will be assigned a main genre, a subgenre, and either a subject/object/event/character, depending on the contest. You may re-roll your subgenre and subject/object/event/character up to three times each. The main genre cannot be changed.
- All entries must be submitted by Sun Aug 18 2024. No refunds will be given for failing to submit on time.
- Submitted stories will be evaluated by our judges. Results will be announced on Thu Oct 10 2024.
